I was wondering if after all these (months) you'd like to meet... again?
Genuine shock hit me when I realised it had been half a year since my last post. Half a year?! How did that happened? Well readers I'll tell you, it all started with a long day at work. A day which resulted in me deciding to postpone blogging a review for day or two. Tomorrow came and went (several times over) and I was no less busy at work. General life got in the way and studying for the WSET Advanced took up an few hours, throw in Christmas on top (which is pretty damn busy when you work in a wine shop) and hey presto you have time travelled into the future, albeit without a slightly strange professor to call my friend.
So here we are, next year already, WSET Advanced done and Diploma started. Christmas over and a promotion gained at work.
Now it would make more sense to say that with my new added responsibilities my time sounds like it is more limited than before however, whilst I was away I like to think I have learnt a few things, not just about wine but also about myself.
We can get so caught up in the logistics of life sometimes that we can forget to do the little things that we enjoy. They don't get prioritised because they aren't deemed as being important enough, but they should be! They are the very reasons behind why we are doing what we are doing, and in my circumstance why I thought it would be a good idea to take on 2 more years of studying (I'm sure I'll be writing a few post about how that progresses!) And so, I am back. Perhaps not with vengeance, but hopefully with slightly more knowledge and moxie.
P.S. I am drinking La Vielle Capitelle Languedoc 2012 whilst writing this. (I'm loving Southern French and Riesling this month) Review to follow soon...
